Celebrating Community and Country: "Senior Day at the Mall" in Raleigh, NC

Senior Day at the Mall is dedicated to fulfilling the needs of senior citizens from all walks of life. This local non-profit is bringing the community together for a day focused on friendship, enrichment, and honoring those who have served.

This Year's Theme: "Americana"

In a beautiful nod to our nation's heroes, this year's event theme is "Americana," honoring active military and veterans.

Attendees are highly encouraged to lean into the theme! There will be official prizes awarded for the Most Patriotic Attire, so be sure to break out your best red, white, and blue.

What to Expect

The day is packed with activities, resources, and entertainment designed for seniors, veterans, and their families:

Entertainment & Fun: Live entertainment and an upbeat atmosphere throughout the afternoon.
Informative Vendors: Connect with local organizations and services dedicated to senior care and wellness.
Raffles: Multiple opportunities to win exciting prizes.
Comfortable Seating: Dedicated seating areas will be available so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the day.

Highlighting a Special Highlight: The Mini Indoor Parade

The crown jewel of the afternoon will take place at 2:00 PM, featuring a Mini Indoor Parade to honor our servicemen and servicewomen.

In addition, Jerry Mangung, MSG (Retired), U.S. Army, will be hosting a dedicated Veteran Table. All veterans and active duty military are warmly invited to come out in their uniforms or best dress to support this wonderful community event and connect with fellow service members.

Veterans News: Monthly Pancake Breakfast

The community support doesn't stop when Senior Day ends. Veterans, families, and supporters are also invited to join the American Legion Raleigh Post 1 Pancake Breakfast, held on the first Saturday of each month.
